Situation
One of our largest and oldest customers wanted to change their stock control and management systems to include full track and traceability. This meant that had-held scanners would be required throughout their worldwide infrastructure.
Approach
This solution was already in place at their main UK warehouse and head offices. So we took this blueprint, and with their main line of business third-party support team, we quoted a solution to link up all the sites via always connected, secure and encrypted tunnels over the internet.
The customer liked the advantages this would provide, and we implemented the solutions remotely so that costs were minimised without having to travel aboard.
Impact and Advantage
The customer now has a global view on all their stock, production and warehouse management. This will significantly evolve their business, and increase production and warehousing efficiency.
